Clarify enabled/ticked and disabled/unticked when referring to checkboxes in the UI #402

When speaking about a checkbox, is it common usage to say “if enabled…” when meaning that the checkbox is ticked? I’m wondering if it could be confusing when referring to checkbox’d items that can be greyed (disabled). Interestingly, I see it for match-whole-word-only and in-selection, both of which CAN be greyed (disabled).

Please clarify this in the manual. If using terms like "ticked" is not desired, maybe "asserted" or "active"? Neither of those seems to satisfy...
