The Windows installer isn't signed yet, so Windows may warn you: choose More info, then Run anyway.

On Debian and similar, run this in the folder with the file:

sudo apt install ./CapriDesktop-1.0.1.deb python3-venv zstd xdotool wmctrl playerctl

On other distributions, extract the .tar.gz, install python3, xdotool, wmctrl and playerctl with your package manager, and run capridesktop. Use an X11 session. If it refuses to start because of the sandbox, your system needs unprivileged user namespaces enabled.

What's new

Hearing

  • Fixed the bug where the microphone bars moved but she never understood anything. It hit PCs with an NVIDIA card without CUDA libraries.
  • Her hearing recovers by itself, and no longer needs a restart after the setup.
  • New in the voice settings: choose your microphone, and a Test button that shows what she understood.

Language

  • She answers in the language you speak to her and remembers it between sessions.
  • She no longer switches to Spanish by herself, and the app's language doesn't change because of what you say.
  • Polish is recognized, Portuguese is Brazilian, and spoken language detection works for every language.
  • Tasks work in any language, not only English and Spanish.
  • Her boredom searches follow your language.

Settings

  • Her requirements follow the disk you install her on. You can also pick a folder in the first-run setup.
  • Choose which monitor she lives on.
  • Turn off her boredom (tabs and music by herself).
  • Voice and effects volume, and a switch for the click and glitch sound.
  • The arrow keys no longer interfere with typing in her windows, and you can turn them off as shortcuts in other apps.

Fixes

  • League of Legends: she finds the client wherever the game is installed.
  • She opens installed apps, including Microsoft Store apps, and tells you when something isn't installed.
  • Spotify searches no longer depend on the size of its window.
  • Long answers and lists aren't cut off.
  • Models without tool support keep working.
  • No more console windows appearing.
  • Only her body takes clicks, so she doesn't block what's behind her window.

Updating

Windows updates by itself: ask her to update. On Linux she opens this page, because installing a package needs your password.
