Updating

• Windows, from 1.0.2 or 1.0.3: ask her to update.
• Windows, from 1.0.0 or 1.0.1: install this one by hand once, because the self-update in those versions can fail. It installs over your current version and keeps your data.
• Linux, from 1.0.3: ask her to update.
• Linux, from 1.0.2 or earlier: install this one by hand once.

What's new

Installing on another disk

• Her models now really go to the disk you chose. They could end up on C: even after picking another one in setup.
• You can move what's already installed: Run setup again, then Where to install, then Change. She shows what's moving, how much it weighs and whether it fits before touching anything.
• Her models, Whisper, the voice environment and FFmpeg are copied, and the Ollama program is downloaded and installed again in the new place. The old files are deleted last. Python stays where it is.
• To move Capri herself, run her installer again and pick another folder.

Commands

• Tell her to stay still and she stays where she is until you drag her or tell her she can move.
• Ask which version she's on.
• Her fixed commands work in all 10 languages, including while the model loads, in cloud mode and in short phrases.
• Fixed "cancel the queue", which never worked in English.

Settings

• Choose the keys for her three arrow key actions by pressing the ones you want. A plain letter or number needs Ctrl or Alt, so it keeps working in your other apps.
• Choose her opacity in Gaming Mode.

Windows

• Console windows no longer pop up when Ollama loads a model.

Cyberpunk 2077 mod

What's new

Opening apps

• She opens any installed app: ask for Blender, the Epic Games Store or whatever you have.
• If she can't find it, she tells you and a window lets you pick its file. She remembers it for next time.
• She understands more ways of asking, like "abrí blender".
• She tells you when she couldn't open something, instead of saying she did.
• Names are no longer confused: Obsidian doesn't open OBS, and Google Earth doesn't open the browser.

Linux

• She updates herself and comes back. A .deb asks for your password through your desktop's prompt; a .tar.gz doesn't need one as long as you can write to its folder. If she can't do it on your system, she opens this page.
• Fixed the .deb not starting on Ubuntu 24.04 systems with no sound library installed, where apt could pick an incompatible one.

Updates

• Downloads are checked against the checksum published with the release.

If you have 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 on Windows: install this one by hand

In those versions the self-update can fail: Capri says she's restarting, closes, and nothing gets installed. Opening her again gives you the same old version.

Download CapriDesktop-Setup-1.0.2.exe below and run it once. It installs over your current version and keeps your data. From then on she updates by herself.

What's new

• Self-update fixed on Windows: she installs the update, comes back by herself and reads the patch notes.

What's new

Hearing

• Fixed the bug where the microphone bars moved but she never understood anything. It hit PCs with an NVIDIA card without CUDA libraries.
• Her hearing recovers by itself, and no longer needs a restart after the setup.
• New in the voice settings: choose your microphone, and a Test button that shows what she understood.

Language

• She answers in the language you speak to her and remembers it between sessions.
• She no longer switches to Spanish by herself, and the app's language doesn't change because of what you say.
• Polish is recognized, Portuguese is Brazilian, and spoken language detection works for every language.
• Tasks work in any language, not only English and Spanish.
• Her boredom searches follow your language.

Settings

• Her requirements follow the disk you install her on. You can also pick a folder in the first-run setup.
• Choose which monitor she lives on.
• Turn off her boredom (tabs and music by herself).
• Voice and effects volume, and a switch for the click and glitch sound.
• The arrow keys no longer interfere with typing in her windows, and you can turn them off as shortcuts in other apps.

Fixes

• League of Legends: she finds the client wherever the game is installed.
• She opens installed apps, including Microsoft Store apps, and tells you when something isn't installed.
• Spotify searches no longer depend on the size of its window.
• Long answers and lists aren't cut off.
• Models without tool support keep working.
• No more console windows appearing.
• Only her body takes clicks, so she doesn't block what's behind her window.

Updating

Windows updates by itself: ask her to update. On Linux she opens this page, because installing a package needs your password.

Cyberpunk 2077

You need Cyber Engine Tweaks. Capri installs her mod by herself when she finds it. If she doesn't, extract the zip into the Cyberpunk 2077 folder. Step by step.

What's in 1.0.0

• Ten languages: every fixed line follows the language you pick, and she answers in the language you speak to her.
• She follows the conversation: she remembers what she said and did on her own, so you can ask her why.
• She changes her look mid-sentence: her cyber eye, her two big eyes or the red one.
• Voice: Fish Audio and ElevenLabs no longer depend on Edge-TTS being installed, and her voice environment rebuilds itself if it's missing.
• Setup: run it again from the model settings, and she warns you if part of it is missing.
• Uninstall: on Windows the uninstaller asks whether to delete your data too. The answer is No by default.
• Cloud models: errors now say what actually failed.
