I cannot use a --dotenv flag with .env.production when building for production (even though the file exists).

To pass arguments to an npm script comment, use -- before them.

Example

Root Directory

npm run nuxt --dotenv .env.production build

or to custom path relative to rootDir

npm run nuxt --dotenv ./configs/.env.production build

Can be tested using the the preview command with the same options just replace build with preview
