InertiaJS - Unable to pass link props #5114

For Inertia.js it may be needed to set additional link props, these include 'reset', 'only', state and scroll remembering, etc.
I have tried adding props to NavigationLinkItem and also Link, but they don't seem to be passed. Would it be possible to add something like to: '/books', { props: { reset: ['items'] } }, or is this already possible? It seems Inertia.js sets them in the HTML as is, and doesn't need anything other special (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Additional context
Inertiajs (Laravel) support is enabled in my config.
https://inertiajs.com/links - this lists the supported props by them. I can use it directly, but unfortunately with components it's more difficult.
