But if replace defineModel() to ref(null), all works fine.

This is completely unrelated to Nuxt UI but to how Vue handles defineModel: https://vuejs.org/api/sfc-script-setup.html#definemodel

You have to have an initial reactive in your page if you want to keep this default or don't use a defineModel in the parent component.
