Started a hardware page for the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 15" (NP750XQA, X1P42100): #15860. Mainline has no tree for it yet. Most of the hardware works on Antheas's Anatase tree with a few NP750XQA fixes, and I've asked there whether Omarchy would carry the tree in |

I just tried to install it on a Asus Vivobook S 15 snapdragon. I could finish the install but when booting it loaded Limine but then it went to a dark screen... I guess some drivers are not working yet. |

I have an issue similar to horaciolyon](#11823 (comment)). I have tried installing on an Asus Zenbook :
I tried a few times to install the Omarchy 4.5 release candidate but each time the same result as horaciolyon, the laptop boots to a black screen. These are the different steps I tried to install:
If there's anything I can do to help test out on this hardware I'd be more than happy to try it out. Ultimately I'd like to blow away the windows partition altogether as windows is so bad. I'm only keeping it thinking it might be useful to obtain a device tree perhaps. |

This discussion tracks Omarchy on laptops with Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors. It covers installing, what works across these laptops, the fixes still on their way into Linux and other projects, and the models people run it on. What is specific to one model, such as its maker's firmware, is on that model's own page, linked under Models.
Other ARM computers, such as NVIDIA's DGX Spark and Apple Silicon Macs, are covered in Omarchy on ARM computers #15702, which also has the general install steps.
Updated 21 October 2026. Most results come from one laptop, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x with a first-generation Snapdragon X Elite, so they may not hold for every Snapdragon X laptop.
Where things stand
linux-omarchy, which moved to Linux 7.3 on 27 October (omarchy-pkgs #1417).What works
qcom-firmware-extractcopies them from the Windows partition (omarchy-pkgs #221).✅ Works on the tested laptop.⚠️ Partly works, or needs experimental software. ❌ Doesn't work.
Models
The X2 laptops are the second Snapdragon generation, and their support is at an earlier stage than the first generation's.
Already in Omarchy
Installing from the nightly image
Download the image and write it to a USB stick as Omarchy on ARM computers describes. On a Snapdragon laptop, also do these.
Testing a full install
If you can wipe a Snapdragon laptop, a full install with disk encryption helps most. Turn BitLocker off first, as above.
omarchy update, restart, and check the password prompt and the desktop again.sudo pacman -S linux-omarchy. It reinstalls the kernel, which rebuilds the boot files the way a kernel update does. Restart and check the password prompt once more.Reporting results
Please include the laptop model, BIOS version, image version (or the source versions if you built it), and whether you tested from the USB stick or an installed system. List what works, what doesn't and what you didn't try.
If your model isn't in the table, comment here, or start a discussion for it like the ones linked above and mention it here. Photos of any errors help, and so does the output of
journalctl -b -p errwith anything personal removed. All reactions
