OTFcreds: Activity 3.3 Assess the impact of the solution #1041
Description
We will work towards assessing the impact of the proposed solutions. This involves considering the trade-offs related to how much measurement data we might be losing depending on how we tune the faulty measurement mitigation strategies, what impact the system might have on users privacy, and if it has any additional unexpected impact on the probe usage (e.g. performance). At the end of this assessment, we will consider if there are any actions we need to take in preparation for the production deployment of the system.
This activity will mainly be carried out by the OONI team (CTO, research engineer), but may involve some amount of work from the cryptographer to answer any domain specific questions that OONI may have. The cryptographer will help OONI assess the potential impact of the solution and work on making changes to the cryptographic primitives to mitigate the negative impacts.
Output: Document outlining the trade-offs assessing the impact of the proposed solutions.
