Orcha v1.2.1

Orcha v1.2.1 — a minor release (1.1.1 → 1.2.1). Source release: tag and notes only, no binaries attached.

This is the first desktop-line release since v1.1.1 (June 2026). It covers everything merged to main up to commit c4d1d5c, and the desktop app version in the tree is 1.2.1.

Highlights

• Runs without Docker or Postgres (GH #258). A project's portal, database and agents now run as plain host processes on a local SQLite database. Existing Docker projects keep running untouched; the Docker-local runtime is deprecated.
• Agents always work in their own worktree, plus a human-triggered bring agent changes into main / update a worktree from main action with a dry run first (GH #288).
• Failed automatic runs back off and pause. They wait 30 then 60 seconds before retrying, pause after three failures and raise one "Needs you" request with the real provider error. A human can resume from the pause notice once the cause is fixed.
• The product is now called Embodent (formerly Quorate) in the portal and desktop app.
• Portal frontend rewritten in React 18 + TypeScript + Vite, with a new Metrics page, a GitHub-aware project dashboard and per-device pairing tokens for the iOS app.
• Claude model catalog refreshed to the current generation.
• Many worker-wake, notifier and worktree reliability fixes; see CHANGELOG.md for the full list.

Version choice

Minor, not major: the code at this tag is already versioned 1.2.1 (desktop/package.json), and existing Docker projects continue to work, so no 2.0 break is declared.

Notes

• No downloads are attached to this release. The public desktop downloads remain on v1.1.1 (Docker-based, universal).
• This tag is in the desktop v* namespace; it does not trigger the CLI publish workflow (cli-v*). The latest CLI release is still cli-v0.5.0.
