Open-webui stalls/locks up a lot #10233

Same. Usually 1-2 prompts and it just stalls. In the early days of Open-Webui, this was never an issue. Like you, when using ollama (CLI) directly as well as other UI's, I don't have this problem. With Open-Webui, I have to restart ollama to make it work again. Info on setup: Arch Linux with ollama installed from the official website. Open-Webui through Docker. |

Having similar issues. I haven't been able to track down where it's getting hung up, but I can make it happen reliably--one request using web search and the whole instance locks up. I'll see the web search results in the chat, but it doesn't seem like the results are even going back to the model. Then if I refresh the browser it just sits on the "OI" splash screen. I can jump on my phone at that point and it's the same, just sits at the splash. Come back an hour later and it's alive again 🤷♂️ |

Randomly open-webui stops responding, usually after a request to ollama and sometimes it does not seem to recover, often i have to restart ollama and refresh the page or request the response again (as it seems open-webui hangs and doesn't really recover until the ollama connection is broken) sometimes open-webui must be restarted itself too. It can happen as often as after every single response at times.
I have been experiencing this one several versions of open-webui
Example, once a message has been prompted, if you click settings, etc nothing loads system prompt memories etc will be blank and the response will just never come because its hanging, sometimes if you close and reopen it/refresh the page after a minute, the response will be there it just never loaded because open-webui was hanging.
Other times i can see in ollama it has given up and unloaded the model yet open-webui will say it is still responding.
It also often needs to be refreshed somehow to see if an error has occurred.
Its like at times the second you prompt it open-webui just locks up.
I am not sure what is causing this particularly, but it seems fixing this issue could really help with stability.
I have tested a few other ui's and ollama itself via terminal and it responds every time very quickly and i have tried running open-webui a few ways but my primary method is in a docker container and it just keeps happening.
