Future of Report Server

I am using O2 and running a HA cluster in a Kubernetes Environment. Historically this part of the stack has not worked with the helm chart.

Piqued interest from stakeholders motivated me to get the feature fully functioning so I cloned the repo and started picking at it and I have some questions after getting it functioning and have started using it.

1. Are there any plans to support inline attachments? I have this working locally and am willing to open a PR that adds the functionality.

2a. Is there any plans to support PNGs of the reports? Today when a report fails while generating, a screenshot is taken. I reused that same functionality to generate PNGs to use as inline attachments.

2b. The PNG support ties into my next question, what's the future for customization of reports on the O2 side look like? As a workaround since I prefer PNGs and inline attachments I set those as defaults, but before merging I would want to unwind that and would prefer to leverage these options as data configured in the O2 UI.

Hi Kurloc, this piqued my interest as I was about to start testing relaying emails received from the o2 server but the smtp server I am receiving them on is quite limited and would not easily support attachments. So if o2 sends them as appended attachments rather than inline and you've added the functionality, would you please share the fork as I am willing to run a fork if that means I wouldn't have to do more retrofitting on my part. Thank you

This would be a good feature. I would request you to create a PR. Just offer this as an option and not make PNG the default, though. A user, while configuring the report, could make a selection in the UI.
