v2.0.1
Patch Changes
-
70997ee: Refresh documentation for the published Effect 4-first 2.x package. Add a runnable
Bun/npm quick start, clarify explicit Effect 3 preset migration, make current
agent-skill assets primary, and record the completed 2.0.0 release.Add a frozen npm-installed 2.0.0 / Effect 4 DDD example with annotated failures,
clean repairs, exact JSON diagnostic checks and runtime contracts. Retain the
legacy npm example separately. No rule behaviour changes.
v2.0.0
Major Changes
-
056559e: Make Effect 4 the default policy for plugin presets and version-sensitive rules.
This is a breaking configuration change: Effect 3 projects must select the
effect3namespace or seteffectVersion: 3on manually configured sensitive
rules. Existing rule IDs and the singlelinteffectplugin registration remain.Add version-specific recovery, generator, callback and behaviour-decoration
recognition, with annotated failing examples, clean repairs and packed consumer
contracts for both Effect majors. Keep removed Effect 3 APIs in the legacy
presets rather than default Effect 4 presets. Type-aware presets remain opt-in.Add exhaustive current and legacy lint/type/runtime-contract corpora, all group
and rules-only composition checks, version-selected packaged agent-skill assets
and a conjunctive group release guard. Legacy-only policies include service
accessors/dependencies, Effect.async, orElse ladders and Runtime.runFork; current
manual configuration remains inactive for those removed APIs. Preserve stable
rule IDs and explicit syntax-local limits, including import, alias and ownership
gaps. Correct current envelope recovery and schema data-constructor guidance.
Cover current eager mapping/sequencing callbacks and behaviour pipes. Correct
failure repairs to delegate in generators or return Effects from flatMap, rather
than accidentally treating an Effect as a successful map/return value. This changeset stages the major release; it does not establish release readiness.
The exhaustive qualification and release gates must pass before publication.
v1.1.0
Minor Changes
- f714fcb: Add an opt-in
typeAwareconfiguration preset for Oxlint's TypeScript-aware
linting engine. The preset preserves the existing recommended Effect rules,
does not enable compiler diagnostics, and leavesoxlint-tsgolintinstallation
to consumers.
v1.0.0
Major Changes
- abc2f3b: Complete the actionable Effect Flow, Pure Transformation, Error Modeling, and Resource Lifetime roadmap rules for the v1 release.
v0.10.0
Minor Changes
- 4f898d9: Add Error Modeling Slice 3 with rules for boundary-owned recovery, expected domain states, and typed exception handling inside Effect workflows.
v0.9.0
Minor Changes
- ae96b9b: Add Error Modeling Slice 1 with public Effect error-channel rules for generic
Error, unknown, and mixed primitive error shapes. Expose theerrorModelingpreset and include it inddd. - ed0ef2f: Add Error Modeling Slice 2 with rules that preserve structured failures through
Effect.fail,catchAll, and error logging handlers.
v0.8.0
Minor Changes
- fd6dea9: Add concurrency-safety diagnostics for unbounded local Deferred coordination
and resource acquisition inside concurrent Effect work without scoped release
ownership. - 444f694: Add Resource Lifetime diagnostics for manual resource cleanup, unbound scopes,
and live resources escaping throughEffect.succeed, plus a focused
resourceLifetimepreset.
v0.7.0
Minor Changes
- f744e21: Add strict concurrency-safety diagnostics for suspension inside semaphore permits, effectful SynchronizedRef modifiers, and unscoped daemon fibers. The rules use conservative direct-call syntax detection and keep custom abstractions outside their analysis scope.
v0.6.0
Minor Changes
- Add platform and boundary hygiene, testing and observability rule groups, and
strict Effect test-shape diagnostics. The package now also checks that every
exported rule has README documentation, an annotated QA example, and explicit
roadmap or legacy ownership.
v0.5.0
Minor Changes
-
f37a6b0: Complete the Service and Layer Architecture roadmap.
Adds rules for modern Effect service shape, dependency declaration, service import/export hygiene, request-handler layer boundaries, Effect-returning service methods, layer pipeline style, infrastructure merge grouping, inline program provisioning, and scattered layer composition.
