src.opensolaris.org currently has number of projects. Some of the projects
have a description of the internal structure just below the search menu
(see the attached screenshots).

This does not scale with number of projects. With that big number of unrelated
projects it does not make much sense to have a detailed description of all the
projects on the front page.

Instead, it should be possible for each project to have its own description
which could be dynamically displayed under the search fields (by clicking
on the project name, for instance).

Also, from usability perspective, everything should fit on single page.

wow, that's one of the pretty rare screenshots from src.opensolaris.org days.

One can sort of workaround this with the Messages API, however this is not permanent.
