Engineering Problem Statement
In critical scenarios, it's not "intelligence" that degrades, but supply chains:
energy → communications → logistics → production → medicine → management.
Therefore, the subject of research is not "finding a safe point," but the formalization of autonomy:
assumptions → requirements → architecture → verification → resilience and recoverability metrics.

R&D Group Framework (Work Structure)

1. Scenario Modeling and Risk Analysis

• Systematization of threats and failure modes (grid down, communications, GNSS-denied, component/personnel shortages)
• FMEA/FTA approaches and risk prioritization (severity × probability × detectability)
• Target autonomy levels: T=72h/30d/180d and "minimum viable framework" criteria

2. Offline-first computing and communications (resilient-by-design)

• Local services without internet access: caching, replication, data reconciliation, P2P/mesh
• Degraded mode as normal mode: Preservation of critical functions with partial resource loss
• Security-first: Segmentation, minimization of external dependencies, reproducible builds/updates, auditing

3. Airborne and unmanned platforms (GNSS-challenged)

• Navigation and control under constraints GNSS: inertial solutions, radio navigation, lidar/vision, sensor fusion
• Onboard computers and DSP: interference immunity, diagnostics, predictable degradation modes
• Operation and recovery: maintainability, NDT, maintenance procedures, field regulations

4. Life Support Engineering (ECLSS approach)

• Water/Air/Heat/Waste circuits: monitoring, quality control, emergency modes
• Autonomous power supply as a control object: manufacturability, storage/processing, verifiable instructions
• Training specialists in roles and protocols (not "skills in a vacuum")

5. Knowledge Reproducibility and "Knowledge Vaults"

• Offline archives + source verification + versioning
• Documentation as a product: BOM, checklists, regulations, training tracks
• Open-source/OSHW where it increases verifiability, reduces vendor lock-in, and Accelerates peer review
