Sign message to prove wallet ownership

I have been asked by the Bitstamp exchange to provide a signed message to prove ownership of my Wasabi wallet as part of their KYC checks. I searched on the site but it seems this is not supported as per this thread from 2019 - #1121 . Is that still correct and if so is there any suggested workaround?

Correct. It is not possible to sign a message with Wasabi.
