Xpra windows jump to active desktop when after monitor sleep. A mac thing?

Not sure where to go with this. Hoping community can help. Have a Mac with Sequioa. Have Xpra running in a desktop on its own doing stuff and do local active work in another desktop. When I leave the Mac for a period of time and my monitor sleeps (but not the Mac itself) and I unlock my machine, the Xpra windows have jumped over to my active desktop.

Only Xpra does it. In options for Xpra I have "Assign to: None". It's not the biggest issue but it means I have to shuffle the windows around after I unlock my machine. I've tried pinning the app to a specific desktop but it's not great as Mac's idea of desktop numbering is pretty lose. I've only a single wide monitor.

Any ideas gratefully received.

It's possible that the screen geometry becomes tiny (perhaps even 0x0?) and xpra synchronizes this with the server, then the server will move the windows to the visible area.
If that's the case, we would need to detect the "going to sleep" event and stop the synchronization until it wakes up again.

Can you run xpra from the command line and post the output of when the shuffling happens?

Sorry, in the Mac dock options for the app. You right-click on the Xpra app in the Mac dock, select "Options" can you can assign it to one desktop, all desktops or no desktops.

Can you run xpra from the command line and post the output of when the shuffling happens?

OK, so we could ignore the events after that, either until the next resuming event if there is one (I assume there is) or until the next time the monitor is (re)configured.

screen size change: will reinit the windows

Normally, running with XPRA_MONITOR_CHANGE_REINIT=0 would disable window re-initialization, but due to a bug that's only just been fixed - this won't work.
(this used to be needed for exactly this purpose - suspend and resume can make the OpenGL accelerated rendering context unusable and we have to re-initialize the window, which may end up moving it since gtk is not workspace aware)

Or alternatively, we could detect that the monitor has not actually changed.
We get it from Gdk.Display.get_monitor_at_window
