Data Sync Question

Is it possible to disable sync to cloud and keep data in the PC only ?, sometime dont want mobile device but only one location data and back up locally every day . if that is possible then how to backup data and restore (not like export and import but need backup and restore)

Hi @azukhatri,

At the moment, this is not possible. Syncing with a cloud server (either the official AliasVault server or your own self-hosted server) is required for AliasVault to function properly.

The browser extension and mobile apps do support offline usage with local editing, but they are designed to still periodically sync with the main server. This helps prevent merge conflicts between devices and also provides a centralized backup of your data.

Supporting a fully offline mode without connection to a server is currently not planned.
