I recently converted a disk from ntfs to ext4, and while I moved the files out and back in, the folder root is capitalized differently. The music folders and subfolders are all the same though.
I know I could edit the disk name to fix my playlists but I'm afraid it might break other things linked to that disk (which has a bunch of files and documents and images)
When writing this I realized I could go into each playlist and "find and replace" my way out of broken files, although I need to do this for each playlist which is only moderately tedious, compared to searching each missing file in each playlist and replacing those one by one, by hand.
This is why I suggest adding a "locate missing files" found in video editing software or DAWs, where it would find matching filenames (and/or metadata) and replace the playlist songs recursively. It would help when moving your music library or changing operating system.
Alternatively, change the app's playlist format in a way that it locates all music files relative to a root folder that can be configured when first starting Audacious.
Unless there is a plugin or feature I am missing?
I hope I am clear enough. That would be a nice thing to have.
