Yes, thank you. I don't work on Audacious much any more, but I put many hours into it back when I had more free time. @radioactiveman does a great job maintaining it now. It's gratifying to see it still being appreciated and especially for its reliability :) |

I love Audacious because it is fast, lean, and easy to use. |

Audacious has been so far been the only music player to not crash trying to load in my library (of 600 hours 😶)
Just today I was about to file an issue to remove duplicates in favour of quality, to check I didn't screw up making the issue I checked the already existing de-duplication functions to see if I didn't suggest something that already existed.
Just to find out it already exists and works exactly as expected.
The Audacious team their capability to make software that consistently functions without rough edges continues to surprise me.
I'm not sure how to properly say what I have to say, this account looks kinda like a bot and I already suck at communicating clearly... ugh
I started my music collection on Groove Music (the awful proprietary Windows player(under its old name)) after about 50 hours it started crashing loading the library, so I started looking for alternatives and somehow discovered Audacious
I've kept it dear to me through my now 3 switches of OS and I must just be so thankful for everything, usually people deflect compliments and some people argue that things like maths and programming aren't art
But you people have made art in my eyes
Without this beauty of a program I would never have been able to discover music in the way I did, and I must just thank you for it all
Audacious its existence has probably inadvertently been one of the most influential actors upon my life.
Continuing my local music collection
Making mixes
Creating my interest in codecs (and causing me to obsess with archival)
Creating my want to do software dev AND my stances on FLOSS software (which then accidentally impacts my political opinions too)
And all of this sounds kind of crazy but it really has been that important to me
Hope all of you wonderful people have a good day :)
