I really need this. I don't remember ever deleting the conversation, but for whatever reason, it got deleted. I really need this to be restored, no matter how hard it is. This is very urgent. Please help me!

Hey! I totally get how frustrating that can be — I’ve been there before.

Good news though VS Code Copilot actually does keep a history of your past chats, unless you manually deleted them. You can try checking it like this:

1. Go to the Copilot Chat view in VS Code.
2. Click the “Show Chats…” button (the little clock icon).
3. Or you can press Ctrl+Shift+P, type Chat: Show Chats…, and select it.

That should show your previous chat sessions, and you can just click to reopen them.
If it’s not there, it might’ve been deleted or VS Code didn’t save it for some reason (like after a crash or update). Sadly, there’s no way to restore deleted chats as of now.
Just a tip for next time — I usually copy important replies into a doc or note app to be safe 😅
