I have the github teacher benefit, but i dont have access to any of the claude models. please how can it be fixed?

GitHub requires you to manually "opt-in" to third-party models. Even with a teacher Pro account, Claude might be toggled off.

Go to your GitHub Copilot Settings.

Look for "AI models" or "Policies."

Ensure Anthropic Claude (Sonnet and Opus) is toggled to "Allowed" or "Enabled."

Thank you @eliskandel for your reply. I have tried to see the "AI models" or "Policies", but i still cant find it. Can you please guide me more on how to see it. Thank you as i await your reply.

To access Claude models with the GitHub Teacher benefit, you must manually enable them in your account settings.
Follow these steps:
Go to your GitHub Settings.
Navigate to Copilot in the left sidebar.
Look for the Policies or AI models section.
Locate Anthropic Claude (Sonnet/Opus) and toggle the setting to Allowed or Enabled.
If these options do not appear, ensure your Teacher discount is currently active, as these models are only available to Copilot users with a valid Pro, Teacher, or Student subscription

@justarnavscs below is the options i get when i click on the copilot.

I have toggled it on, but i still cant see the claude in VScode.
please help me further, thanks.

And also go to the licence corner in settings of your profile and click education benefit then out the bottom click on the hyperlink with says co pilot activation
