Hi everyone,
I’m currently facing an issue activating GitHub Copilot on my account.
I have already been approved for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but when I try to enable or upgrade Copilot, I get the following error:
“Your account is unable to upgrade Copilot”
Additionally, in my Copilot settings:
Copilot Chat in IDE is disabled
Copilot Coding Agent is disabled
Many features show: “Your organization(s) have not enabled use of this feature”
I am not part of any organization, and this is my personal account.
I suspect that Copilot might have been previously activated on another GitHub account, and that could be preventing activation on this account.
Questions:
How can I confirm if Copilot is linked to another account?
Is it possible to transfer the Copilot Student benefit to my current account?
Has anyone else faced this issue and found a solution?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
