Hello,
I would like to request improvements to GitHub Actions regarding workflow execution from feature branches:
Allow manually triggered (workflow_dispatch) workflows to be run from feature branches, not just the default branch, without requiring a push event to register the workflow on those branches. Currently, the Actions UI only recognizes workflow_dispatch workflows based on the default branch, making it difficult to manually run workflows on feature branches unless a push event occurs first.
Allow scheduled (schedule) workflows to run from feature branches, not just the default branch. At present, scheduled workflows are only executed on the default branch, which limits automation and testing capabilities on feature branches.
These enhancements would greatly improve CI/CD flexibility and developer experience when working with multiple branches.
Thank you for considering these requests!
Best Regards,
Patrik
