Hi everyone,

im a student from iran babol noshirvani student and i have educational university email but what ever i do i cant get verified on github students pack , im in biomedical engineering field. someone help PLEASE!

Hey! Try manual verification instead of only using the university email.

Upload a clear document with:

• Your full name
• University name
• Current date/semester

A student ID, transcript, or enrollment paper usually works.

Also make sure:

• Your university email is verified on GitHub
• Your GitHub name matches your real name
• The image is clear and not cropped

If it still doesn’t work, contact GitHub Education support directly:

Hey! Don't worry, this is more common than you think — especially for students outside the US or Europe. Here's what usually does the trick:
First, double-check your profile:

Your GitHub name should match your real name exactly (the same way it appears on your documents)
Make sure your university email is verified on GitHub (Settings → Emails)

For the document submission:
Instead of relying only on the email verification, submit something manually — a student ID, enrollment letter, or even a transcript works fine. Just make sure it's clear, not cropped, and shows your name, university name, and current semester.
One thing people often miss: when you take the photo for verification, try to do it fresh with your webcam right at the moment of applying — GitHub sometimes rejects old or pre-scanned images.
Also, when searching for your university, try typing "Babol Noshirvani University of Technology" to make sure it matches what's in GitHub's database.
If none of that works, reach out directly to GitHub Education support at https://support.github.com/contact/education and explain your situation... They're usually pretty helpful.

thanks, my educational email is verified but i have tried about 9 times but i could not get accepted ): . hope everyone who ever could have access to this offer uses most of it. i think this is one of side effects of being iranian. THANKS.

Damn bro, as a Brazilian I kind of understand your frustration. But being restricted because of your nationality is crazy... You’ve probably already contacted Git support. Anyway, try to verify things properly/authentically; if that doesn’t work, I’d suggest using a proxy or a VPN... Most likely this issue is persisting because of your location and not because of the university itself.

(if that still doesn’t work, just sit and cry bro 🥀)
