Wondering the issue with exit code 1 error? Why does it appear in multiple repositories when running a check and is not addressed when exit code 1 appears. Nothing is corrected and does not require a fix before moving forward.

Exit code 1 is a generic error code that simply means "something went wrong", it doesn't point to a specific issue on its own.

Here are the most common reasons it appears without blocking progress:

• The check is non-blocking: the tool is configured to warn, not fail. So even if it exits with code 1, the pipeline continues.
• It's expected behavior: some linters or scripts return exit code 1 when they find warnings (not just errors), and the CI is set up to ignore that.
• No fix is required: the workflow may be designed to report issues without enforcing them, useful for informational checks.

To actually address it, you'd need to:

1. Look at the full log output to see what triggered the exit code 1
2. Check the tool's configuration (is it set to --warn-only or similar?)
3. Decide if you want to make the check blocking (exit 1 should fail the pipeline)
