I'd like to be able to sort columns individually on the Project (in Board view).
I found #8518 but that seemed to be for 'sorting all columns on the board'.
Currently if I do e.g. sort newest to oldest on Closed / Done at, that might make sense for one column, such as a column named 'Done'.
But for a column such as 'Issues Todo', I might want that sorted Descending on Priority, so that Urgent issues are top of column.
There are other uses, I guess for other folks if any column could be sorted on any of the sortable options individually (I haven't really considered Table or Roadmap views and if this would even be applicable there.
One example for my use case, is that I use a slightly tweaked WBS numbering format for tasks. Currently using labels and Titles for each task's WBS number, but am moving to Native Type fields for all existing/legacy labels. One of the 'WBS' numbers I use is for batch / parallel processing of tasks.
Would be very handy to be able to sort by the 'Batch' number for child issues under a specific parent, so I could see a nicely sorted list. 'Issue number' does not always correlate sequentially with actual task ordering or planned WBS numbering. WBS numbering affords me the option to insert tasks in between the gaps in increments of 10.
I could probably re-jig my system...and figure out how to do this alphabetically or other way, and just 're-sort' the entire board as and when....but would be very useful for individual kanbn board columns to be sortable independent of other columns
