Hi everyone,
Hello, I currently have GitHub Pro sponsored by an organization (discount $4/month ). I am also eligible for the GitHub Student Developer Pack and planning to apply.
My questions: If I get approved for Student Pack, will it override my current org-sponsored Pro?
Can both exist at the same time in my account? Does GitHub switch automatically between them?
Will I lose any benefits or get interrupted access?
I want to make sure I don’t break my current plan

Your org-sponsored Pro won't get overridden. GitHub handles them separately, so both can exist on the account at the same time without conflicting. If anything, the Student Pack just sits alongside it.
In terms of switching — GitHub doesn't automatically do anything weird. Your org sponsorship stays active as long as the org keeps it. The Student Pack benefits just get layered on top.
You won't lose access to anything, and there's no interruption. The only thing worth knowing is that some benefits overlap (like Pro itself), so you won't get "double Pro" or anything — but you also won't lose what you already have.
Basically: apply freely, nothing breaks.
