The "additional requests" are premium model requests — these are separate from the standard quota and apply when you use more powerful models like GPT-4o, Claude Sonnet, or Gemini instead of the default base model. In VS Code, click the Copilot icon → switch the chat model to Base model (default) The 100% chat messages just means you hit your monthly chat limit on Pro. Additional requests are a separate counter for premium model usage only. |

I had a pro plan for GitHub copilot. But now it is showing chat messages = 100% and additional request 162.
What's these additional requests? Does it count to next month.
also even if I use basic version that additional requests are incrementing why?
because actually basic is unlimited right?
