Hi everyone,

My GitHub Education student benefits were revoked on May 28, 2026. I am trying to re-verify my academic status as a Student within my 30-day grace period.

However, I cannot access the application form. Every time I try to open education.github.com/discount_requests/application, the system aggressively redirects me to github.com/pricing or shows a "unable to provide a reliable solution" message pointing to community forums.

I have already updated my Public Profile name and Billing Information to match my official student document exactly. Could you please manually unlock or reset my education application page so I can upload my student ID and restore my Copilot access?

To answer your question:

1. Banners/Status: On my main GitHub dashboard, I don't see any warning banners. However, on the main education.github.com landing page before the pricing loop takes over, it explicitly displays my historical logs: It shows "Revoked on May 28, 2026 / Application Type: Student" and a previous "Rejected on May 28, 2026 / Application Type: Faculty" (which was submitted by mistake instead of Student).

2. Before the Redirect: There isn't an error page or a warning screen immediately before the redirect. As soon as I click the "Re-verify" or application link, the browser loading wheel spins for a second, and the URL instantly changes from the education domain straight to github.com/pricing. It feels like an automated account-state block triggering on their server side.

I will definitely update this thread once GitHub Support or staff helps me clear this loop so other students encountering this can fix it too!

Thank you so much for your time and deep analysis, @maheerCodes! Your explanation makes perfect sense. The system seems completely stuck between that accidental Faculty rejection state and the Student re-verification window.

I have officially submitted a ticket to GitHub Support explaining this account-state conflict and the server-side redirect loop.

As soon as GitHub Support manually resets my account and resolves the issue, I will absolutely post the exact solution and outcome here to help any other students who get trapped in this loop in the future. Thanks again for your amazing support!
