The situation is a bit complicated because I haven't had any further information on the matter. I spoke to support and only received a message listing what I've already done and the steps I've already checked, and I still don't have a solution. That's right; they're suspended for student plans.
From what I understand, there isn't a student version of Copilot either; it remains the free version of Copilot

Hey there , if you have applied to the Education benefits (students development pack) successfully then you got wait , Github is currently pausing any Education Benefits owners from accessing Copilot Pro because of the massive load on the credits , However you will be notified on the email you set for notification on Github whenever copilot is available again.
