Hello GitHub Support,
I am writing to dispute incorrect billing charges on my organization's GitHub Team Annual Plan. My annual plan started on September 10, 2025, and should not renew until September 10, 2026.
Here is my full payment history:
2025-09-10 — $1,679.34 (Annual plan purchase – Year 1)
2025-11-12 — $92.19 (Prorated charge for new members added mid-cycle)
2026-02-06 — $1,920.00 (AUTO-DEBITED – This charge should NOT have occurred. My annual renewal is September 10, 2026, not February 2026.)
2026-04-16 — $166.30 (Prorated charge for additional members added mid-cycle)
Now I am being asked to pay $2,296.67 and my organization plan has been revoked due to a payment failure.
However, since my annual plan was purchased on 2025-09-10 and billed annually, the next legitimate renewal is 2026-09-10. I should not have been charged $1,920.00 in February 2026, and the $2,296.67 demand is also premature.
I request that you:
Investigate why my billing cycle was changed from my original September 10 anniversary date
Refund or credit the $1,920.00 charged on 2026-02-06 if it was an incorrect early renewal
Restore my organization plan immediately, as all legitimate charges have been paid
Confirm my correct next renewal date as September 10, 2026
My organization has paid in good faith and should not have its plan revoked due to a billing system error on GitHub's side.
Please treat this as urgent as our team's workflow is disrupted.
