Hi everyone,

I lost my old github account and couldn't link my school email to Github Education. I made a ticket and they kindly removed the subscription from my old account so i could link it to my new one 30 days later. I tried one month later and still couldn't link my email to my new account (this one). It has been almost 3 months i believe and i still can't use it can someone help me plz ?

I totally get how annoying it is to wait three months! The automated system is likely just stuck on their end.

Here is the absolute quickest way to fix it:

Check your settings: Make sure your school email is verified in your regular GitHub email settings first.

Try applying again: Go straight to the GitHub Education page and try submitting a new application just in case it works now.

Ask Support for a reset: If it still gives you an error, send this quick message to GitHub Education Support:

"Hi! I was told to wait 30 days to link my school email to my new account, but it's been 3 months and the system still says it's in use. Could you please manually release it for me? Thanks!"

A real person just needs to click a button on their end to unblock it for you!

That's exactly what i was thinking. But when i tried to go for support i get a pop-up saying no one can do github education support tickets for this matter anymore :( that's why im kind of lost
