ARC (Actions Runner Controller)
Discussion Details
When building AppImages, if the latest OS is used, it is not only possible, but likely that glibc will break compatability with older systems. Say Distro 1 and Distro 2 are both supported. Just to support the older distro, an AppImage action builder would need to be updated every now and then to manually specific what the oldest github image runner is for ubuntu.
So right now, I'd have to manually specify
ububtu-22.04until that is phased out, at which point I'd have to edit the workflow just to keep things running smoothly. This is more relevant for the templates I have as I try to make my templates in a way that reduces the need for maintainace. e.g. using
actions/checkout@maininstead of v4, v5, v6Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
