💡 The Fix: GitHub Pro ≠ GitHub Copilot

The issue is that GitHub Pro and GitHub Copilot are completely separate subscriptions. Pro gives you advanced repo features (draft PRs, protected branches), but it does not include the AI assistant.

Here is how to fix this from a dev POV right now:

1. Spin up Copilot (30-Day Free Trial)

You don't need to wait on support to start coding.

1. Go to Settings > Copilot on GitHub.
2. Hit Start free trial to activate it.
3. Authenticate the extension inside your IDE (VS Code, JetBrains, etc.), and you're good to go.

2. Kill the Pro Sub & Get a Refund

Since you bought it by mistake 4 days ago, support will clear this up easily.

1. Open a quick ticket at support.github.com.
2. Select Billing > Refund Request.
3. Drop a quick note: "New user, accidentally bought Pro instead of Copilot Individual. Requesting a refund so I can switch subscriptions."
