Community members cannot see or override the verification decision, but GitHub's teacher verification docs do list a few things that are worth checking before reapplying. For teacher benefits, GitHub says the application needs:
The rejection article is especially specific about the document image: it should clearly identify your current employment with the school/university. If the school email domain is unverified, or if the school has email policies where alumni/retired faculty can keep addresses, GitHub may require stronger proof, and the docs recommend reapplying with a different image that has at least one clearly visible date showing current academic status. So I would try this checklist:
