Hi everyone,

Hey guys it has been 4 days since I applied for the github student developer pack and I still didnt get it? Can anyone help me out

Hey! It can sometimes take more than a few days for GitHub Student Developer Pack verification, especially if there are many applications being reviewed. In some cases, it may take 1–2 weeks.

Make sure your student document or verification details are clear and valid. You can also check your email (including spam/junk folder) for any update from GitHub.

If it has been more than a week or two, you may want to contact GitHub Education support. Hope you get approved soon!

No I got it approved its just that my benefits are taking quite a while to come

The blue shark achievement is called Pull Shark. You get it by having pull requests (PRs) merged on GitHub.

If the old YouTube methods are not working, GitHub may have changed some things, so make sure you are following the correct process:

1. Fork a repository (or create a new branch in your own repo).
2. Make some changes and commit them.
3. Open a Pull Request (PR).
4. Get the PR merged into the main branch.

Also, here are the current requirements for the Pull Shark achievement:

• 2 merged PRs = Base badge
• 16 merged PRs = Bronze
• 128 merged PRs = Silver
• 1024 merged PRs = Gold

Keep in mind that the achievement may not show instantly — sometimes GitHub takes a few hours or even days to update profiles after a PR is merged.
