Student Pack blocked — previous account deleted due to lost 2FA

Hi everyone,

Hi,

My previous GitHub account (Uzair32) was linked to my school email
for the Student Developer Pack. I lost access after changing phones
and losing 2FA codes with no recovery options, so I had to delete it.

Now on my new account the Student Pack application is blocked because
my school email was already used on the deleted account.

I am a genuine student at SEECS NUST, Pakistan. Is there any
way to reset the eligibility on my school email for my new account?

New username: muhammaduzair32323-code
Old deleted username: Uzair32

I do not want to share personal info publicly — happy to verify
via any private channel you suggest.

Since this involves account ownership and GitHub Education eligibility, the community unfortunately cannot reset or transfer benefits between accounts.

For privacy reasons, I'd recommend editing your post to remove any school email addresses or other personal information.

A few questions that may help staff better understand the situation:

• Was the original account permanently deleted, or is it simply inaccessible due to lost 2FA?
• Did you attempt account recovery before deleting the old account?
• Are you receiving a message that the email is already associated with a previous Student Developer Pack application?

If the old account has been deleted, GitHub staff may need to manually clear or update the Education association. Only GitHub Support/Education staff can do that, so hopefully a team member can advise on the appropriate process.

In the meantime, avoid creating additional accounts or submitting repeated applications, as that may complicate verification.
