Hi everyone,
I've been having issues with my education benefits for a while now, being completely unable to restore my education access.
In January of this year, my GitHub account was suspended without any explanation but quickly got restored after a quick chat with GitHub support. I still don't know why my account had been suspended and GitHub refused to give me a reason.
That whole ordeal apparently revoked my student application, marking my existing verification as "Failed". I retained access to all benefits until the end of last month, when I suddenly got an email telling my that my discount will soon expire.
I tried to go through the normal steps of going to my billing settings and clicking the "re-verify" button under the education benefits section but it kept redirecting me to github.com/pricing instead of allowing me to re-verify.
I have now lost access to all of my benefits, with the button prompt now stating "Start an application", while still redirecting my to the pricing page.
What I've tried already
All attempts to contact support via email have gotten me no response at all, while my first ticket was archived (gray icon) and my second ticket was marked as closed/resolved (purple icon) multiple times with no response at all.
I have been a member of GitHub education for years now and gotten used to working with the tools it provided. Loosing access to these benefits has been a struggle.
Has anyone had simmilar issues or knows how to resolve this?
Best,
Jaro 🩵
