i'm using the school ID option + firefox + OBS virtual camera because i dont have a real one.

Too activate GitHub Education you'll firstly need you School ID and your School Email

First Step:
Make sure to have a your primary email address ( your normal email address ) and your school email address. Don't assign your student email address as primary it'll mess up the process. Both emails will need to be verified so having access to the email is a must.

Second Step:
Select your school email address and then after it should prompt you to take a picture of your school ID. Having a clear picture of your school ID with no disturbances such as lighting, being too far way etc. Should prevent the GitHub from declining your ID. Currently, I can t show what it looks like because I've already activated it.

After this it should take a couple of hours before GitHub can accurately approve or decline your application. Once approved you'll have to wait 72 hours before the benefits are appiled.

If you have already met the eligibility requirements, enabled location services, and are not using a VPN, there may not be much more you can do from your side. Distance-learning students are generally eligible for GitHub Education, but verification can sometimes require additional review.

I recommend checking whether your institutional email domain is recognized by GitHub and ensuring that your submitted documents clearly show your name, institution, and current enrollment status. If the application continues to be rejected, please contact GitHub Education Support, as only they can review the specific reason for the denial and advise on the next steps.
