From what I have seen in this community and similar reports over the past year, response times for account-related support tickets vary quite a bit depending on the type of review. For straightforward policy questions or billing issues, a first human response sometimes comes within 2 to 5 business days. For account suspension reviews or identity verification cases, it tends to take longer -- 7 to 14 business days is common, and some users have reported waiting 3 weeks before receiving any update. A few things worth knowing:
If it has been more than two weeks with no response on an account review, a single polite follow-up on the ticket is reasonable. |

I understand that the Community cannot assist with account reinstatement requests or escalate support tickets.
I'm simply trying to understand current response times from GitHub Support.
A friend submitted a support ticket regarding a suspended account and received a confirmation email with a ticket number. It has been a few days without a human response.
For users who have recently interacted with GitHub Support on account-related reviews, how long did it take before you received the first response from a support representative?
I'm not asking for help with the specific account or ticket, only trying to understand recent response-time experiences.
