OCR automated rejection due to handwritten Student ID (Name Mismatch) #198572

This is a common issue for students from countries where official documents are handwritten. The OCR system struggles with handwritten + stamped documents. Here's what has worked for others in similar situations: Official enrollment certificate printed and stamped by your university (typed text = OCR reads it perfectly) Tips for resubmitting: Take the photo in bright natural light, flat surface, no shadows If still rejected: Try applying via https://education.github.com/discount_requests/new and select "Other" as document type |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hello,
I am trying to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but the automated system keeps rejecting my application due to a "name mismatch" error.
I have already verified that my GitHub Public Profile Name, Billing Information, and my verified institutional school email address all perfectly match each other and reflect my legal student name.
The issue is that in Romania, official student ID booklets (called "carnet de student") are standardly handwritten and stamped by the university administration. Because of the handwritten ink and official stamps overlapping, the automated OCR system fails to read it correctly and instantly rejects my application.
Since individual support tickets for manual reviews are no longer available, could a community manager or GitHub staff member please look into my application status or assist me with a manual check?
Thank you for your help!
