Student benefits not activated despite approval and Pro status

Hi everyone,

I received approval for the GitHub Student Developer Pack more than a month ago. My account shows that I have GitHub Pro (the Pro badge appears on my profile), but none of the student benefits seem to be actually activated:

• I cannot activate GitHub Copilot (it says “Copilot Student” is paused or unavailable).
• Other benefits like Codespaces hours or other tools are either missing or not working.

I have already verified my student status through GitHub Education – the verification is active and has not been removed. However, it has been over a month and nothing has changed.

I understand from the pinned announcement that new activations of Copilot Student, Pro, and Pro Plus are currently paused. My question is:

• Is my situation related to this pause, even though I was approved before the pause started?
• Or is there something wrong with my account that needs manual review?
• What should I do to finally get the benefits working?

I am using Copilot Free in the meantime, but I would really like to use the student benefits I was approved for.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
