As a developer of free, open-source projects that generate no revenue and without sponsors, I am deeply disappointed by the new GitHub Copilot billing system. That drastically hurts independent creators. In my case, a two-month supply of AI credits was completely depleted in just a two weeks of standard workflow. This new pricing policy creates an economic barrier for hobbyists and effectively discourages the development of free software.

Same boat here. I get zero support and the costs drove me to cancel Copilot at the beginning of the month. There are less expensive alternatives like Google AntiGravity, but even that could change when they (probably) switch away from flat rate billing too.

But, on a more serious note we're at a crossroads with this technology becoming too dominant. That's another discussion though....

Thanks for respond, im not good in english just tell me, that change was planned (mean forever) or just somekind of "bug", is any possible way to get back tokens or money for that change without announcements?
