Apologies again, I have found the pin does not actually work for my use case and I will explain why:
So say I have UART pinouts in one comment, and GPIO pins in another comment, and those I would like to have a coloured box around (just like when you mark an answer as accepted here in discussions) I think a separate "highlight" would be best, however you could redesign the pin to accept multiple pins, and list them in a consolidated compact format list under the OP so you can click on them to be taken to the comment. Perhaps a standard could be the first line is accepted as the "description" for as many characters fit, because most people put the most important information (title, brief description) at the top. Ex: or or This way I can highlight both, and scroll through a KM long ticket and skim for the important bits. |

This is a useful idea, especially for long issues with many comments. A highlighted comment could help maintainers and contributors quickly find important decisions, instructions, technical references, or unresolved questions without searching through the entire conversation. It may also be helpful to:
This would provide clearer visual distinction than the current pinned-comment experience and could make long issue discussions much easier to navigate. |

I just wanted to make a simple suggestion, and explain it's use case.
My idea is to allow ticket masters (lol) to "highlight" a specific comment, which would simply have the effect of changing the colour of the box around the comment, so you can find it easy scrolling through a ticket.
Specific Example: How it would be used by myself, talking to myself in issue tickets (lol), would be to highlight my comment to myself about pinouts. I would like to see it easier, scrolling through 100 pages of me talking to myself.
There is the ability to pin a comment, but there is no visual distinction so that when you scan the ticket you can find the important stuff easily.
In actual collaboration effort, one developer could highlight things for other developer. I think it would be a good idea.
