Hi everyone , i am here ask why my github account suspended.

My GitHub account has been suspended, and I am unable to sign in. When I attempt to log in, I receive the message:

"Access to your account has been suspended due to a violation of our Terms of Service."

I would appreciate details regarding the suspension and guidance on any steps required to restore access.

Please note that, for privacy and security reasons, GitHub staff cannot discuss specific account suspensions or provide details about Terms of Service violations in public Community discussions.

To resolve the issue and attempt to recover your account, you’ll need to follow GitHub’s official appeal process.

1. Submit a Reinstatement Request

The only way to have your account reviewed is by contacting GitHub Support.

GitHub Support: Appeal an Account Action

When submitting your request:

• Briefly explain your situation.
• Request a review of the suspension.
• If you’re unsure what caused the violation, politely ask for clarification.

2. Check Your Email

GitHub typically sends an automated email to the registered email address associated with the account when a suspension occurs.

Check:

• Inbox
• Spam folder
• Junk folder

Look for messages from GitHub related to:

• Terms of Service
• Account Action
• Account Suspension

These emails may contain additional information or a direct appeal link.

3. Wait for the Review Process

After submitting your appeal, the Trust & Safety team will review your case.

Response times vary, but it may take several business days or longer depending on support volume.

Important Notes

Do Not Create Another Account

Creating a new account to bypass a suspension violates GitHub’s policies and may result in the new account being suspended as well. It can also make recovering your original account more difficult.

Do Not Submit Multiple Tickets

Opening multiple support requests for the same issue can slow down the review process rather than speed it up.

Unfortunately, Community members cannot access account details or review suspension decisions. The official appeal process is the only way to request a review and potentially regain access to your account.
