Student verification rejected despite updating profile information and submitting valid enrollment certificate #198855

Hi @StudioAcris. Since you've already updated your GitHub profile and billing information to exactly match your academic records, it may be that the previous mismatch is still affecting the automated review process. Make sure the name on your application, profile, and submitted document are identical, including surname order, accents, and spacing. If everything matches and the certificate is current and clearly shows your enrollment, I would recommend contacting GitHub Support and referencing your previous application attempts so they can perform a manual review of your case. Given the details you've shared, it sounds like your application may simply need human verification. If this answer helped resolve your issue, please consider marking the discussion as answered. It helps others with similar problems find the solution more easily. 🙂 |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hello,
I am a student at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and I am trying to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack.
My application was initially rejected because my GitHub profile did not contain my full legal name. I have since updated both my profile and billing information to match my academic records.
However, when I resubmitted my application, it was rejected again without any specific reason.
The only feedback I received initially was that my GitHub profile name did not match my academic records. After correcting this issue and resubmitting my application, it was rejected again without any explanation.
The document I submitted is a current and valid certificate of regular student status issued by my university. The document is clear, legible, and shows that I am currently enrolled.
One possible issue is that my academic document lists my full legal name as:
ALAVA TORRES ALEJANDRO RAUL
while my GitHub account previously displayed:
Alejandro Alava
I have now updated my GitHub profile and billing information to reflect my full legal name exactly as it appears on my academic document. Despite this change, my application was still rejected.
Could someone please review my case or advise me on what additional information or documentation may be required?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
