Profile Achievements not showing even though settings are enabled

What are you trying to do?

I am trying to show GitHub Achievements on my public profile: https://github.com/rupayon123

What did you expect to happen?

Since both profile visibility settings are enabled, I expected the Achievements section/tab to appear on my profile.

What happened instead?

• The GitHub mobile app showed this banner: "You unlocked new Achievements with private contributions! Show them off by including private contributions in your Profile in settings."
• On web, my public profile does not show an Achievements section.
• https://github.com/rupayon123?tab=achievements returns Not Found.
• In Settings > Public profile, both of these are enabled:
  • Include private contributions on my profile
  • Show Achievements on my profile
• I refreshed and rechecked after enabling the settings, but the achievements still do not appear.

Additional context

• Username: rupayon123
• Recent public merged PR activity includes:
  • Add CLI help contract tests omobolajiadeyan/phishguard-ai#27
  • Document Telegram and email notifier setup maruftak/reconsentry#19
• This looks similar to other reports where Achievements were not displayed even though the visibility settings were enabled.

Could someone from GitHub please check whether my achievements are stuck hidden, delayed, or affected by a profile display bug?

the fact that the mobile app shows the "you unlocked new achievements with private contributions" banner but the web profile still doesnt render the tab is a useful clue ,,, it suggests your achievements do exist on the backend (mobile sees them), but the web profile's achievements section/tab is either not being generated or is stuck in a cached state.

some extra things to try.

• toggle both settings off, save, then back on, save again,,,sometimes a setting that was already "on" doesnt actually trigger a backend refresh unless you toggle it through a change. just rechecking without an actual off->on cycle might not have re-triggered anything.
• hard refresh/clear cache for your profile page specifically ,,,github profile pages can be cached at the CDN level for a while,a normal refresh might still be serving an old cached version without the achievements tab,
• try viewing your profile logged out (incognito/private window) ,, this bypasses your own session cache and shows what others actually see. if it appears there but not in your normal browser, its a client-side cache issue, not a backend one.
• double check "include private contributions on my profile" vs "show achievements" arent somehow conflicting ,,,try togggling just one off and back on at a time rather than both together, to rule out one specific setting being the stuck one.

about the 404 on /achievements
a hard 404 (not just an empty tab) on ?tab=achievements suggests github's router doesnt think the achievements route should exist for your profile at all right now ,,,, this points more towards a backend flag not being set for your account (despite the UI toggle showing "on") rather than a frontend rendering bug.that would explain why a simple refresh doesnt fix it.

given the toggle/refresh/incognito options above are unlikely to fix a backend flag mismatch, and this looks similar to other reports as you mentioned ,,, this is likely a genuine bug worth a direct bug report if the above doesnt work, since it seems to need a fix on github's end rather than anything in your settings.
