Hi @Kiran07222, Congratulations on being approved for the GitHub Student Developer Pack! It is common to experience a slight delay or confusion regarding Copilot activation, especially during periods where GitHub is updating their infrastructure or managing high demand. To address your specific questions:
Go to your GitHub Settings > Billing and plans > Plans and usage. Ensure that the "GitHub Student Developer Pack" is listed as active. Check the Copilot section under "Code, planning, and automation" in your settings. If it asks you to "Set up Copilot," follow the prompts to see if it allows you to claim the free offer. Avoid starting a paid "Copilot Pro" trial, as this can sometimes conflict with the free student provisioning process.
Important Note on Naming: Next Steps: Keep an eye on the GitHub Changelog for any official announcements regarding Copilot Student benefits. If your access hasn't appeared within 7–10 days of your initial approval, you may want to open a ticket directly with GitHub Support, as the community forum members cannot manually trigger activations for individual accounts. If this answer helped resolve your issue, please consider marking the discussion as answered. It helps others with similar problems find the solution more easily. 🙂 Hope this helps! |

Benefit Activation/Waiting
Hi everyone,
Hello,
My GitHub Education verification has been approved and is currently active.
However, I have not received access to GitHub Copilot Pro. When I visit the activation page, I see the message that new activations of Copilot Student, Pro, and Pro Plus are currently paused.
Could someone clarify:
Thank you for your help.
