Hi @Datautomates, From your description, it sounds like you've already corrected the name mismatch by ensuring that your legal name matches your GitHub profile and billing information. Regarding the location warning, being at home during summer break is a perfectly reasonable situation, and a distance of only a few kilometers from your school does not necessarily indicate an eligibility issue. However, the community cannot access accounts or perform manual verifications. A few suggestions:
Since this appears to be an account-specific verification issue, only GitHub Education staff can review the underlying signals. Hopefully a staff member can clarify whether the location check is behaving too aggressively in cases like summer vacation or remote access. If you eventually receive a resolution, please consider updating this discussion so other students experiencing similar location-related rejections can benefit from the information. |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hi GitHub Community Team,
I am a high school student at Ly Thuong Kiet High School (Hanoi, Vietnam). My student application was repeatedly rejected by the automated bot due to name format and location errors.
My official legal name is "Trần Tiến Đạt", which now matches my public profile and billing information perfectly. Regarding the location issue, I am currently staying at home for my summer vacation, which is only 3.5 km away from my school campus. The automated system strictly flags this minor distance as a location error.
Since individual support tickets are closed, I am posting here hoping a staff member or moderator can look into my account "Datautomates" and help me verify it manually.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support.
