Hi everyone,
Hello GitHub Community and Staff,
I am completely stuck in an automated verification loop and since manual review tickets are no longer provided, I have to report this bug here.
The automated OCR system keeps instantly rejecting my Student Developer Pack application (usually within 1 minute), citing generic errors about my name, school name, or date. However, this is a system failure because:
I am using an official, government-issued end-of-year report card from the Italian Ministry of Education.
My GitHub Public Profile Name and my Billing Information name exactly match the legal name on my document.
Following the exact GitHub guidelines, I placed an English translation note right next to the original document and captured them in a single, clear, physical photo but even with these it got rejected.
The OCR bot is clearly failing to process the combination of the original document and the translation, resulting in instant false-positive rejections.
Could a GitHub Staff member please look into my account (@bassaleo)? I have all the valid documentation and translations ready to be provided through a secure channel.
Please note that as high school students in Italy, we do not typically receive standard student ID cards with expiration dates like in other countries. Therefore, the official Ministry Report Card is practically the only legally valid proof of enrollment we can provide, making it crucial that your system can process it correctly alongside its translation.
Thank you for your help.
